Looking for a quick and easy craft that you can do with your kiddo’s? Something that will not create a huge mess for you to clean up after?
Then I have the perfect craft for you! This is a super simple idea that I wanted to share with you. It’s an easy DIY puzzle made out of a child’s placemat. You can find these at the dollar store and sometimes at the larger department stores as well. They usually only run a couple of dollars or you could go with something a little more “fancy” like this one. So let’s get to it!
Materials needed –
scissors
child’s placemat
large gallon freezer bag
Directions –
Use the scissors to cut the placemat into multiple pieces. If you are making a puzzle for an older child, cut the placemat a larger amount of pieces.
I cut my puzzle into several different shapes: rectangles, triangles and a few odd pieces.

Using the Sharpie, write the name of puzzle on the large freezer bag.
When you are done using the puzzle place the pieces in the bag for safe keeping.
