Fun Football Craft

Sep 22 by Jenny

It’s football season and we’re gearing up with some fun crafts to support our teams! This fun football craft can be done in any color, so show your team spirit!

PAPER PLATE FOOTBALL PLAYERS

SUPPLIES

Paper plates ( 2 plates per group of 8 players)

Pipe Cleaners (4 of each color jersey and pants. 8 total)

Glue stick  (I used Elmer’s Craftbond Extra Strength)

and loved it!

Paint

Marker

INSTRUCTIONS

Start by painting the backside of a paper plate. The outer color will be for jerseys and the inner will be the pants color.

When completely dry, put another plain paper plate underneath the painted plate, and cut the plates into 8 equal slices (like a pie).

Separate the two paper plates and cover bottom plate with a good covering of glue.

Position the arm and leg pipe cleaners and press the plates together.

Allow to dry.

Cut the small triangle (left between the legs) off the player.

Add player’s number.

MAKING THE HEADS

Paint small ovals around the edge of the paper plate. See photo for perspective. These are the players’ faces.

Space the faces evenly around the paper plate. ( 8 faces)

When the ovals have dried, paint the remaining white portion of the paper plate edge to chosen helmet color.

Cut out helmet/face shape, and glue to the wide side of player’s body.

Add facial features (and eye black, if desired)
