Why more parents are choosing to homeschool!

Created On: August 5, 2015  |  Updated: October 19, 2021  |

Home schooling is a favored choice these days – it is backed up by statistical proof that several parents are pulling children out of public or private schools and opting to teach them from home. The best part is that contrary to common misconception, their education isn’t hampered nor do they turn out to be socially awkward due to limited interaction with kids of their age.

Find out why more parents are choosing to homeschool their children. Quite a lot of surveys and research is being conducted to find out the reason why parents have chosen this informal coaching.  It has been discovered that the traditional system of schooling is slowly losing its power. There are many reasons for this paradigm shift, but our focus is on home schooling. For now, we can’t effectively say which system is better, because we don’t have a pre-fixed standard against which, we can measure parameters. However, we have compiled a list of why you should consider home schooling:

  • Have you noticed your child hasn’t understood a word of a particular lesson, but when asked they pretend to know it by heart? This is a common occurrence due to fear of being scolded – they feel they will be reprimanded as everyone in their class has grasped the concept while they lag behind. But home schooling allows you to keep tabs on their progress so you know when they actually understand something or if they are nodding just for the sake of it!
  • Your child is safe from toxic influences on the outside – reduced exposure to outside elements guarantees that your kid is a safe and secure environment most of the time.
  • Single parents might find this a great option, especially if they work from home and/or have monetary issues. Your finances can be strained if you have to leave children in daycare centers when you are at work, but home schooling is an economical alternative that helps you save and doesn’t affect your child’s studies.
  • Parents and children can connect better as they spend more time and share experiences on a daily basis. Come up with interesting activities that both of you can take part in.
  • Individualized attention is one of the strongest points in favor of teaching kids at home. In a public school, there are several students in one class so it is not possible to focus specifically on one child. But you can easily accomplish the one-on-one approach at home.

Before you remove your child from public school, make sure you have gathered enough information about home schooling in order to decide objectively.
